Anne Hamilton is a professional director and screenwriter. Her experience ranges from writing and directing television and film to teaching university students about the theory of narrative. She has helped hundreds of students and professionals become better storytellers, and she is fascinated by how narrative shapes our lives and our world.

Hamilton has adapted books for television and film, optioned stories, developed feature film and pilot television scripts for major studios including Paramount, Scott Free, and Miramax, as well as directed episodic television for both network and streaming platforms.

Hamilton is a graduate of The American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women, as well as the NBC Female Forward Directing Program, the CBS Diversity Directing Initiative, and the Fox Filmmaker Labs. She has earned a J.D. from Yale Law School and a Master’s Degree from Stanford’s Philosophy Department. She is a member of the DGA and WGA. She lives in Los Angeles.
